In the heart of Texas

The Memories Mall is owned and operated by CableSmart!, the registered business name of Dave and Sue McConnell since 1989. In that time we have lived at the same address, had the same business bank account and paid the state of Texas all the sales tax due each year, on time. The bank has changed ownership 6 times, there have been 3 different Texas Comptrollers but we remain constant.

In addition to running The Memories Mall, we are also regular vendors at market days and other events around Central Texas.

Our technology company, CableSmart!, offers graphic and web site design. Our completed sites include The Little Trailer Company, makers of custom trailers for hot rod and motorcycle enthusiasts and Street Rods Forever, an Austin street rod and custom car dealer. We launched a site for Street Rod Trailers, Inc., the east coast dealer for The Little Trailer Company and Mustang GoLittleGuy, another dealer in Oklahoma. CableSmart! also designed and maintains the web site for Dirtco Construction, a Central Texas land preparation and finish firm.

Our newest offering, Automotive Memories, is a site dedicated to the history of cars. We have a passion for cars of all types, particularly hot rods and muscle cars. With all the photos of classic cars we've accumulated it just seemed natural to try to organize them along with a little background.

We are combining our passion for history and collectible with our 20 years experience in the world of computers, to bring you a safe, secure and hopefully interesting place to find retro metal signs, decorative thermometers, pedal cars and other unique gift items. Included on our site are a variety of photos and articles of interest and links to other fun and useful sites.

Our success on ebay planted the seed for The Memories Mall. The fun items we were selling through auctions were always limited to what we could find at garage sales and flea markets. We wanted to be able to offer our friends on the Internet the same items over and over. We think we have found some quality items that will appeal to collectors and gift seekers alike.

I recieved the 1958 black Chevy Impala die cast car today. I just want you to know that my husband would like to buy a real car of this kind, but since we currently cannot afford one I bought him this one for Christmas.
