Ford 427 SOCH die cast engine

To compete with the Chrysler Hemi in 1964, Ford secretly developed an overhead cam version of the high-performance FE block, the legendary 427 SOHC. This engine has become known as the Cammer and was virtually built by hand. Factory ratings were 615 HP @ 7,000 RPM with a single 4-barrel, and 657 HP @ 7,500 RPM with dual carburetors; engine weight was a hefty 680 lbs. Measures 6"H x 5"W x 6"D.

Fantastic detailing includes chrome-plated blower scoop with butterfly vanes and spring linkage, chrome-plated valve covers, hollow-tube exhaust pipes, braided fuel lines and ribbed blower belt that turns the blower, crankshaft, and idler pulleys!
