The Memories Mall is owned and operated by CableSmart!, the business name used by Dave and Sue McConnell and registered with the state of Texas since 1989.

Taxes - We are authorized by the state Comptrollers Office to collect sales tax for sales within the state. There has been a desire by all the states to levy sales tax on Internet transactions for many years. Frequently, bills are introduced in the US Congress to effect this change. If this happens we will make every effort, first, to comply with the law and second, to make the information readily available to our customers.

Secure Shopping - CableSmart! uses a 128 bit encrypted service for processing your order at The Memories Mall.

What does that mean? Well, when you place an order, your credit card number is never sent over the Internet in a readable form. The information is placed on a secure server that only we can access. When we process your order the information is converted to random text before it is transmitted to the banking institutions. It's like a super secret decoder ring you got in cereal boxes when you were a kid, only better.

Privacy - Your privacy is among our highest concerns. We will never sell, trade or share any personal information about you with any third party not related to processing your order. Ocassionally, when something new comes along that might interest you, we may drop you a line, but we are not going to bombard you with spam or junk mail. Life is too short for both of us.

You might also find the short section on "SPOOFING" of interest. It describes one of the ways unscrupulous people attempt to gain access to your personal information.

Virus Protection - CableSmart! uses Sophos Anti Virus software to protect our electronic communications. They provide complete protection through monthly software updates and email alerts. For the latest in computer virus information check out our continuously updated page courtesy of Sophos.

Product Safety - Although there is nothing inherently dangerous about the products we sell, it seems like a good idea to say a word or two about safety.

Our signs and thermometers are made of metal. The majority of signs have rolled edges for both safety and strength but the corners are sharp. Likewise, care should be exercised when handling the thermometer edges and keep in mind that the glass tube contains mercury. If you should happen to break it, take care not to handle the mercury.

The die cast models are not intended to be used by young children and the packaging reflects that with appropriate warnings by the manufacturer. Some have small parts that present a choking hazard and if damaged may present other risks.

We don't let our young grandchildren play with them because they just want to crash them together. Let's all be grown up about our toys and be responsible.

Domestic Shipping - All orders are shipped within one business day of when they are received. Each order is packed in rugged cardboard containers selected specifically for the products and secured with packing material. Every precaution is taken to ensure safe delivery of your order.

When placing an order, our system automatically generates an email to the address you supply. We also notify you by email when the order ships. If you have set up your internet account to block certain types of incoming messages, you may not receive these confirmation messages.

NOTE: CableSmart! and The Memories Mall are not responsible for deliveries left outside your residence and / or not signed for. Remember, UPS can not deliver to PO Boxes.

Although The Memories Mall appreciates the interest in our products from people all over the world, we are currently only shipping to customers within the United States. We also are happy to ship to our men and women in the military, that have APO addresses.

Shipping Charges - The amount you will be charged for shipping is done automatically using the current UPS Ground and US Postal Service Priority Mail rates. You will see the amount being calculated on the shopping cart page, listing your items. CableSmart! monitors the system to ensure accurate shipping fees.

Shipping Times - For Priority Mail through the US Postal Service, delivery is 2 to 3 days depending on your location. To view a map of UPS delivery times from Austin, TX click here.

Drop Shipping on Pedal Cars, Pedal Planes and Tricycles - is FREE but limited to the lower 48 states and only via UPS Ground Service. The item is shipped from California directly to you.

International Shipping - At this time CableSmart! is not set up for overseas shipping other than to APO's for our men and women in the military. Please check with us in the future for updates.

Payment - For the fastest possible service The Memories Mall currently accepts VISA and Mastercard using the best security available. We hope to add additional credit cards very soon.

You may also pay by check although this will cause some delay in shipping your order. Please make checks payable to: CableSmart!, and mail to 4809 White Elm Drive, Austin, TX 78749.

Returns - Merchandise may only be returned within 15 days of purchase, and only after obtaining prior authorization by phoning 512-892-3819. Returns must be in their original carton and in new condition, as determined by CableSmart!, owners of The Memories Mall. There is a 10% restocking fee that is applied to the price of the merchandise.

Please inspect all cartons immediately upon delivery for any damage. If your order is damaged in shipping please refuse the shipment if possible, or contact the carrier. For UPS call 1-800-PICK-UPS (7425-877) or your local post office.

Back Orders - If an item is out of stock when you place an order we will make every effort to contact you immediately and fill your order as soon as possible. You will not be charged for any item that is not included with your shipment. Occasionally, an item will be discontinued. When this happens we will contact you to determine your wishes.
